Additive Manufacturing Operations Technician

About The Position

This role supports and participates in current and new safety, quality, and lean initiatives/policies as business needs arise. The technician will read, understand, and use Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s), Job-Safety Analysis’ (JSA), and schedules to accomplish daily production tasks. The position requires the ability to work in a team-based, collaborative environment where priorities may shift. The technician will be expected to perform all functions related to machine turnaround and preparation for Direct Metal Laser Sintering (DMLS) 3D printers. They will also troubleshoot operational issues and relay critical information to the team, and will be tasked with basic ordering of supplies and shipping products once production is completed.

Requirements

A High School diploma / GED is required.
A minimum of two (2) years of manufacturing experience.
Basic understanding of machine tools (milling, lathe, drill press, etc.).
Experience working in a technical capacity with a manufacturing focus.
Organizational skills with attention to detail and self-motivated.
Must be either a U.S. Citizen, Permanent Resident (green card holder) or otherwise classifiable as a U.S. person under relevant regulations.

Nice To Haves

Advanced degrees or technical certifications are a plus.
Experience in Additive Manufacturing or working with metal powders.
Basic computer skills in Microsoft Suite.
