About The Position

Albany Care, a Specialized Mental Health Rehabilitation Facility (SMHRF) in Evanston, IL, has an immediate opening for a Full-Time Certified Addictions Counselor. Albany Care is accredited by the Joint Commission and licensed by the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDHP). We are dedicated to the treatment, recovery, and rehabilitation of individuals affected by chronic psychiatric illnesses. Located in a residential housing setting in beautiful Evanston, Illinois, we treat a variety of conditions, including mood disorders, psychotic disorders, as well as those who are dually diagnosed with a mental illness and substance use disorders.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Counseling, or Social Work required
• Must have at least one of the following certifications : - Addictions Certificate - Substance Abuse Certificate - CADC (Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor) - CAC (Certified Addictions counselor)
• Counseling experience in an adult residential mental health facility

• Provide peer-oriented individual and group counseling
