About The Position

As a member of the interdisciplinary team and under the general direction of the Manager or Addiction Counsellor Degree Senior, is responsible for the day-to-day client services delivery (development, implementation, deliver and assists with evaluation) of Addiction Services. Performs clinical management, community education, and community development.   • Knowledge in addictions specific twelve core functions
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize urgent client needs
  • Knowledge in Developmental Model of Recovery
  • Ability to accurately assess addictions and make appropriate referrals
  • Ability to accurately assess addictions and/or addiction related issues.
  • Ability to accurately assess addictions and make appropriate recovery plans
  • Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of Sask Model of Recovery Services and motivational assessment process
  • Promote healthy lifestyles in urban & rural settings with diverse populations
  • Strong knowledge of policies and procedures established by Addiction Services
  • Demonstrate knowledge in addiction(s) and their effects on the individual.
  • Ability to provide individual, group and crisis management counselling skills
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license
