About The Position

The College of Humanities and Social Sciences at Grand Canyon University (GCU) is seeking dedicated faculty and leaders committed to inspiring and guiding students. GCU offers fulfilling opportunities for adjunct faculty to teach part-time, in-person courses at our Phoenix campus. We are looking for motivated educators eager to provide high-quality instruction in a modern, collaborative environment with smaller class sizes.

Requirements

  • Master’s (or higher) in Professional Counseling OR Mental Health Counseling OR Addiction Counseling OR Clinical Psychology OR Marriage and Family Therapy
  • Current Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) OR Current Licensed Independent Substance Abuse Counselor OR Current Licensed Marriage and Family Therapy Counselor
  • 2 years of clinical experience in addictions

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate classroom lecture and discussions
  • Engage students in learning course objectives and topics
  • Assess student performance and mentor success in the classroom
  • Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement, and Mission of Grand Canyon University
