About The Position

The Addiction Recovery Specialist works in the Recovery and Wellness department at the Addiction Recovery Center in Mansfield, Texas. The role involves therapeutic communication with patients and collaboration with the Wellness and Recovery care team and nursing staff. The specialist is expected to use active listening and effective non-verbal communication. The department offers flexible schedules, creative therapies that support personal expression and multidisciplinary treatment, and a collaborative team approach.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
One year of experience in substance abuse treatment or as a Patient Care Technician; alternatively, a high school diploma or equivalent with CNA certification, or an associate degree in mental health or a related healthcare field.
BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) certification before providing independent patient care, maintained quarterly.
CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification within 30 days of hire.
AHA First Aid Certification within 90 days of hire, maintained thereafter.

Nice To Haves

One year of experience in substance abuse and/or addiction services.

Responsibilities
