About The Position

The Department of Psychiatry at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, NE is recruiting an addiction psychiatrist to join their addiction division faculty. This role involves time spent on a busy Addiction Psychiatry Consult Liaison Service and a robust outpatient addiction psychiatry practice, including directing a dual diagnosis intensive outpatient program. The Psychiatry Department and Addiction Division are rapidly growing and currently include an outpatient addiction psychiatrist, a psychiatrist for the consult service, and an emergency medicine physician and pediatrician, all board certified in addiction medicine. The Addiction Medicine Fellowship is in its 7th year. Requirements

MD/DO (or equivalent degree)
Board certified/eligible in addiction psychiatry or addiction medicine.

Responsibilities

Share time between a busy Addiction Psychiatry Consult Liaison Service and a robust outpatient addiction psychiatry practice.
Direct a true dual diagnosis intensive outpatient program.
Provide teaching opportunities alongside national leaders in psychiatry education and research.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of mental health professionals and nurses.
Develop novel clinical programs in integrated collaborative care.
Engage in research and career advancement opportunities.
Provide occasional weekend coverage.
