About The Position

This is a full-time evening opportunity for an Addiction Counselor. The role involves the direct treatment of an assigned caseload of patients dealing with addiction to alcohol or other mind/mood altering substances. The position emphasizes treating all clients with dignity and respect, including affirming care for LGBTQ+ clients. Responsibilities include providing various forms of counseling, completing necessary documentation, maintaining contact with referral sources, and ensuring adherence to company policies and confidentiality regulations.

Requirements

CASAC or CASAC eligible, or B/S-B/A with working knowledge of substance abuse disorders.
Assessment, referral, and treatment planning
Group, individual, and family counseling
Didactic presentation and documentation
Crisis intervention
Age-specific skills (Adolescents, Geriatric)
Knowledge of Medication Assisted Treatment

Responsibilities

Ensure that all clients are treated with dignity and respect.
Affirming care for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Questioning clients.
Provide group, individual, and family counseling to caseload.
Complete assessments, admissions, and treatment plans.
Maintain documentation and contact with referral sources (EAPs, Criminal Justice).
Generate and send Referral Progress Reports.
Participate in weekly case reviews, supervision, and staff meetings.
Ensure adherence to Seafield’s policies and confidentiality regulations.
Assist with discharge, transitional planning, and referrals.
Perform other duties as assigned.
