About The Position

Centurion is seeking a full-time Primary Care/Addiction Physician at the Eastern Correction Institution (ECI) in Westover, Maryland. This role involves providing comprehensive healthcare services, including prevention, evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment for patients with substance use disorders within a correctional setting. The Physician will collaborate with the SUD Medical Director, Statewide Medical Director, and Health Services Administrator (HSA) to ensure efficient and clinically appropriate care. Requirements

Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school required.
Active and unrestricted MD/DO license or the ability to obtain one required.
Board certified, or Board eligible, or qualified by state laws/regulations to practice medicine.
Must show/be able to obtain active Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration.
Ability to pass credentialing and background check.
One to two years’ experience in a progressive supervisory or management position in an outpatient/inpatient substance abuse program.
Two years’ experience providing direct care in a community or correctional substance abuse program.

Responsibilities

Provides prevention, evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment services for patients with unhealthy substance use or substance-related health conditions in a correctional setting.
Works under the direction of the SUD Medical Director and/or the Statewide Medical Director in collaboration with the Health Services Administrator (HSA) to ensure that efficient and clinically appropriate services are provided.
