As an Adaptive Skills Trainer at Jay Nolan Community Services (JNCS), you will work one-on-one with individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities to help them build everyday skills, confidence, and independence at home and in their communities. The role supports meaningful progress toward individual goals, from mastering daily routines to building relationships and participating in community life. You will implement and contribute to individualized support and adaptive skills training plans, provide hands-on instruction in daily living and social skills, and use evidence-based strategies to support the application of skills across settings. You will accommodate individual behavioral, physical, and communication needs using positive, non-invasive support. The position also involves monitoring progress, collecting data, documenting services, communicating with the supervising Adaptive Skills Training Professional, and coordinating with families and other support-team members. Participation in meetings and training, along with compliance with JNCS policies and applicable DDS and Regional Center requirements, is expected.
