Adaptive Aquatics Instructor - Sanford Wellness Center
About The Position
Sanford Health, the largest rural health system in the United States, is dedicated to transforming the health care experience and providing access to world-class health care in America’s heartland. This position provides individuals with special healthcare needs with a positive experience in the water, introduces and teaches fundamental aquatic skills, promotes water safety, and provides opportunities for physical activity and social interaction. The role involves teaching a variety of water classes for various age levels within the Adaptive Aquatics program, demonstrating strength in working with the growth and development needs of a unique client population, and understanding the challenges associated. The instructor will also assist the lead instructor when and where appropriate, listening to direction promptly to ensure a high-quality experience for all individuals involved.
Requirements
- Must be 16 years of age.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
Nice To Haves
- Background in physical education preferred.
- Lifeguard certification preferred but not required.
