About The Position

Cross Country Education is seeking a dynamic Adapted Physical Education (APE) Teacher for a high-impact summer role in Culver City, CA. This role involves conducting comprehensive physical and motor assessments to determine eligibility and lead the development of individualized goals within the Individualized Education Program (IEP) framework. The teacher will design specialized PE programs for a diverse K–12 population, modifying equipment to ensure equitable access. Responsibilities include managing a roving caseload across various sites, ensuring all documentation meets strict compliance standards, and working alongside teachers, therapists, and families to integrate adaptive strategies into the broader school day.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher
  • Valid California Teaching Certification with the Adapted Physical Education (APE) Authorization (Required)
  • Expertise in evaluating motor skills and writing data-driven IEP goals for students with a wide range of disabilities
