Provides routine therapeutic services under the supervision of a therapist or therapist assistant. Responsibilities include providing routine services to patients as outlined in the department's scope of service, working under the direct supervision of a licensed therapist or therapist assistant. The role involves providing accurate written and/or verbal objective feedback and documentation of observations related to the patient’s response to activities, utilizing correct forms or system tools. The aide will also assist in training new employees and volunteers, observe patients during activity and report responses, maintain a safe and clean work environment, attend in-services and meetings, and assist with department quality control. Clerical duties, preparation of equipment, rooms, and patients for therapy treatment, and completing competencies are also part of the role. Transportation of patients and supplies may be required, along with checking with other staff to offer assistance. DCH Standards include maintaining performance, patient and employee satisfaction, and financial standards, adhering to compliance requirements and DCH Behavioral Standards, and performing essential job functions in a manner that ensures safety for patients, visitors, and employees. This includes identifying and reducing unsafe practices and recognizing and taking appropriate action to reduce risks and hazards. The role requires the use of electronic mail, time and attendance software, learning management software, and intranet, and adherence to all DCH Health System policies and procedures. All other duties as assigned.
