About The Position

DaVita is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide dialysis care to patients with end-stage renal disease and chronic kidney conditions in hospital settings. The role covers hospitals in Oakland, Alameda, Richmond, Berkeley, and San Leandro, working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment alongside hospital teams and DaVita clinical staff. The nurse may work in ICU, CCU, ED, and other acute care units and support patient care with the help of patient care technicians (PCTs). The position delivers inpatient dialysis therapies, including hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT), and apheresis. Nurses monitor patients, adjust treatment, and promote quality outcomes while adapting to changing schedules and patient needs. The posting specifies prior dialysis nursing experience as required, although another section says no dialysis experience is required and paid training is provided. The schedule is 3–4 day shifts per week beginning at 8 a.m., with shifts of at least 10 hours and rotated weekends. On-call is described as not required, though nurses may occasionally be asked to cover. The posting also contains a conflicting statement that the schedule includes regular and on-call shifts, including weekends and holidays, and notes that daily schedules may change based on patient needs.
