Acute Care Rehabilitation Supervisor
About The Position
The Acute Care Rehabilitation Supervisor will oversee the daily activities of Rehab Services. This role involves coordinating and supervising staff and clinical affiliates, managing treatments, and scheduling activities. The supervisor will also assist in planning and establishing policies and procedures, developing new programs, and training and monitoring the competency of personnel. Additionally, they will assist in staff performance evaluations and provide direct patient care, including evaluations and treatments, as dictated by census. The supervisor will also support the Director in managing the department and assume any delegated assignments.
Requirements
- Graduate from an approved school with a BS or BA degree, Masters, or doctorate degree in physical therapy or occupational therapy.
- Three years experience as a practicing physical therapist or occupational therapy.
- Licensed by the professional licensing board of state.
- BCLS for healthcare provider’s certification upon hire and maintain current.
Responsibilities
- Supervises Rehab Services daily activities.
- Coordinates and supervises staff and clinical affiliates, treatments and activity schedule.
- Assists in planning and establishing policies and procedures and development of new programs.
- Trains and monitors competency of new and current personnel.
- Assists in staff performance evaluations.
- Direct patient care including evaluation and treatment as dictated by census with a negative variance.
- Assists Director in management of department and assumes any delegated assignments.
