About The Position

Emory University School of Medicine’s Department of Radiology and Imaging Sciences is seeking an Acute Care Radiologist to join the Division of Emergency and Trauma Imaging. This role involves providing remote clinical services across 7 hospitals, including Georgia’s largest Level 1 trauma center. The position offers a unique schedule of 13 weeks of clinical duty per year, with each block consisting of 7-day overnight shifts (10pm-7am) followed by 21 days off. The radiologist will work remotely from home anywhere in the USA (excluding Alaska, Hawaii, and New Jersey) and will communicate via Microsoft Teams with support from a 24-hour reading room coordinator. The shifts focus on whole-body acute care imaging, primarily CT, US, and XR, with a minor component of MRI. Successful candidates will work in tandem with existing emergency/acute care radiologists and an emergency neuroradiologist, becoming the fifth overnight radiologist on duty per night. A key responsibility includes providing remote support to residents who currently work overnight. The division operates 24/7/365 and requires participation in both clinical and non-clinical activities, including teaching and trainee supervision. Fellows completing training in summer 2027 are encouraged to apply.
