About The Position

The OP PT will utilize appropriate skilled interventions to aid in executing the established plan of care. Other duties include documenting findings in compliance with state and federal requirements. This role is responsible to the Director of Rehabilitation Services.

Requirements

  • Must hold a current license to practice physical therapy in the State of Texas
  • Obtains and maintains American Heart Association BLS Healthcare Provider
  • Ability to work and communicate with multiple medical disciplines
  • Basic computer skills
  • Employment contingent upon successful completion of: Background Check, Lab Work, Immunization Records
  • Ability to be mobile – Continually
  • Crouching (bend at knees) – Frequently
  • Walking – Frequently
  • Stooping (bend at waist) – Frequently
  • Twisting (knees, waist, neck) – Frequently
  • Turn/Pivot – Frequently
  • Pushing/Pulling – Frequently
  • Ability to talk to patient and/or staff – Continually
  • Ability to hear patients and/or alarms – Continually
  • Vision (near and/or far) – Continually
  • Ability to distinguish colors – Continually
  • Bloodborne Exposure – Frequently
  • Respirator Fit Testing Required Annually

Nice To Haves

  • One year of clinical experience as a licensed Physical Therapist in the Acute Care hospital setting is preferred
