About The Position
The Division of Advanced GI and Bariatric Surgery at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida, is seeking a board-eligible or board-certified general surgeon to join its acute care surgery service line as an Acute Care Surgeon. The role involves a busy, non-trauma practice covering the spectrum of abdominal pathologies and acute surgical emergencies. There is also an opportunity to develop an elective practice in abdominal wall reconstruction. The ideal candidate is an excellent clinical surgeon with strong clinical skills and an interest in teaching. The position includes participation in education efforts for the ACGME-accredited general surgery residency program. The center offers infrastructure and a collaborative environment to support professional pursuits in research, education, administration, quality projects, and simulation. Requirements
