About The Position

Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center - Administration is seeking an Acupuncturist for a part-time position, requiring 1-2 days (8-16 hours) of support per week, with flexibility in scheduling. The role also involves supporting occasional events throughout the year. The hours of operation are Monday-Thursday from 8:00 am to 5:30 pm and Fridays from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. No weekends or holidays are required.

Requirements

Requires license to practice acupuncture in the applicable state.
Requires graduation from an accredited acupuncture school.
Requires secure and maintain credentialing by the integrative medicine practice in accordance with the practice Credentialing and Quality Review Plan.
Requires a minimum of 2 years experience practicing acupuncture.
Requires excellent verbal/written communication, organizational, skills.
Requires Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider (BLS HCP) from AHA.

Responsibilities

Provides acupuncture as well as adjunctive therapies within the scope of acupuncture including massage, mechanical, thermal, electrical, and electromagnetic treatment and the recommendation of herbs, dietary guidelines, and therapeutic exercise.
Demonstrates skill and knowledge of the clinical role and its integration with other clinical and alternative services provided.
Develops and implements a plan of care to meet patient needs, to include planning and utilization of available resources.
Completes billing information at the time of service.
