About The Position

Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center - Administration is seeking an Acupuncturist for a part-time position, requiring 1-2 days (8-16 hours) of support per week, with flexibility in scheduling. The role also involves supporting occasional events throughout the year. The hours of operation are Monday-Thursday from 8:00 am to 5:30 pm and Fridays from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. No weekends or holidays are required.

Requirements

  • Requires license to practice acupuncture in the applicable state.
  • Requires graduation from an accredited acupuncture school.
  • Requires secure and maintain credentialing by the integrative medicine practice in accordance with the practice Credentialing and Quality Review Plan.
  • Requires a minimum of 2 years experience practicing acupuncture.
  • Requires excellent verbal/written communication, organizational, skills.
  • Requires Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider (BLS HCP) from AHA.

Responsibilities

  • Provides acupuncture as well as adjunctive therapies within the scope of acupuncture including massage, mechanical, thermal, electrical, and electromagnetic treatment and the recommendation of herbs, dietary guidelines, and therapeutic exercise.
  • Demonstrates skill and knowledge of the clinical role and its integration with other clinical and alternative services provided.
  • Develops and implements a plan of care to meet patient needs, to include planning and utilization of available resources.
  • Completes billing information at the time of service.
