About The Position

The Medi Spa is seeking a skilled Acupuncturist to provide acupuncture treatments, particularly for oncology patients experiencing side effects from chemotherapy or radiation, pain, or other symptoms. The role also promotes patients’ overall wellness. The Acupuncturist conducts individual patient assessments, develops suitable treatment plans, and collaborates with other healthcare professionals to support comprehensive patient care. This is a contractor position compensated on a commission basis of $55 per patient.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year of experience.
• NCCAOM certification and an active Maryland license as an Acupuncturist.
• Strong knowledge of physiology, medical terminology, and physical examinations.
• Experience in pain management, particularly acute pain management.
• Familiarity with treating patients across various demographics, including pediatrics.
• Excellent patient care skills and bedside manner.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Active CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform acupuncture treatments to alleviate pain and promote overall wellness.
• Conduct patient assessments and develop treatment plans tailored to individual needs.
• Use manual therapies, cupping, and dry needling when needed to achieve wellness goals.
• Use trigger point therapy and other techniques to address specific health concerns.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
• Educate patients about acupuncture benefits and self-care practices.
