Requirements

  • Is currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree in actuarial science or another relevant field, and/or is required to complete a credited internship in Fall 2026 as part of their academic program.
  • Has relevant experience in quantitative analysis, acquired through academic projects or internships.
  • Is recognized for their rigor, attention to detail, and adherence to established procedures.
  • Stands out for strong analytical and complex problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrates strong proficiency with analytical tools and large datasets, including Excel, Access, Python, and R (GLM, tidyverse).
  • Communicates clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing, in French.
  • Has an intermediate level of English, as the role involves collaborating with unilingual English-speaking internal partners and regularly consulting technical documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Participating in analytical projects to develop a practical understanding of actuarial concepts and the insurance industry.
  • Contributing to the development and enhancement of simple analytical tools to support the resolution of business issues.
  • Collaborating with various teams (actuarial, information technology, finance, marketing) on projects and initiatives.
  • Analyzing data and contributing to the production of reports or dashboards to support decision-making.
  • Supporting teams with quantitative analyses using basic statistical methods.
  • Participating in day-to-day actuarial activities and providing support for recurring analyses.
  • Assisting in the preparation of documentation and responding to data requests from internal teams.
  • Working closely with colleagues, mentors, and professionals to develop your skills and gain exposure to the insurance industry.
