About The Position

Responsible for supporting Actuarial Management. The role involves supporting and analyzing activities related to the Direct Pay, Local Group and National Accounts Market Segments and all lines of business. It also includes increasing knowledge of actuarial science and insurance theory & practice, with the goal of progressing to the FSA designation. Key functions include rate analysis and development, forecast/variance analysis and reporting, and claim trend analysis.

Requirements

Related Bachelor's degree required Math/Statistics or related degree
Completion of one or more of the examinations from the Society of Actuaries

Nice To Haves

Background in health field or insurance field
Previous Actuarial experience or internship in an Actuarial area
SAS, R and/or SQL experience
Minimum GPA of 3.2
Familiarity with programming languages
PC software (spreadsheets, graphics, word processors)
Completion of college-level courses on micro and macroeconomics, introductory corporate finance, and applied statistical methods
