ACTIVITY THERAPY ASSISTANT - FULL-TIME
About The Position
The Activity Therapy Assistant functions as an active part of the treatment team, providing training and education for all patient populations in leisure development and role modeling to our patients. The Activity Therapy Assistant is responsible for carrying out education activities identified in the treatment plan under the supervision of the Activity Therapy Manager, establishing and maintaining therapeutic boundaries complying with established training program, demonstrating responsibility for observation of patients at all times, assisting patients with activities, and practicing universal precautions and environment safety guidelines.
Requirements
- High School Graduate or equivalent.
- Experience providing leisure development groups working with all patient populations.
Nice To Haves
- College degree a plus.
- Experience working with children and adolescents a plus.
- Willing to train the right individual that has a passion for children, adolescents, and adults with mental health and addiction disorders.
Responsibilities
- Carry out education activities identified in the treatment plan under the supervision of the Activity Therapy Manager.
