About The Position

Copper Mountain Resort is seeking a Seasonal, full-time Activity Operator for the Summer 2026 season. This role involves operating and inspecting various attractions, including Lifts, Quad Power Bungee Jump, Go Karts, Coaster, and Wreck Tangle. Operators will be trained on all activities and are responsible for ensuring guest safety and an enjoyable experience. The position requires strong communication, teamwork, and a high level of safety consciousness. Daily duties include morning set-up and inspection of activities, strict ticket security, and promoting Copper's products and services. The role also involves handling emergency procedures and adapting to adverse weather conditions. As an ambassador for Copper Mountain, the Activity Operator will model the company culture and strive to exceed guest expectations.

Requirements

  • Must be able to lift and carry items up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to stand outside in the sun/rain for extended periods of time.
  • Must be willing to work 5 days/week, weekends and holidays included.
  • Must be willing to work as early as 4:00AM and as late as midnight while ensuring excellent service standards with our guests.
  • Must be fluent in English to read, write and speak.
  • Mandatory training and passing a written test required.
  • Must comply with Copper’s grooming standards.
  • Must desire an outdoor job that requires manual labor.
  • Must follow strict safety guidelines in the inspection and operation of all activity machinery.
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Must be able to recognize and respond to audible signals (i.e. telephones, beeper system and guest questions).
  • This position may require the use of a mountain radio/walkie-talkies for communication.

Responsibilities

  • Actively direct the proper and efficient loading & unloading of guests.
  • Execute the daily pre-operational inspection of lift machinery in order to complete a legal lift log document.
  • Report any irregularities to lift maintenance and file the log for future reference.
  • Execute daily pre-operational inspection of bungee machinery and equipment.
  • Instruct guest on guidelines and proper technique for bungee apparatus.
  • Execute daily pre-operational inspection of go kart machinery and equipment.
  • Instruct guests on guidelines and proper use for go kart machinery.
  • Execute daily pre-operational inspection of Wreck Tangle apparatus.
  • Instruct guests on guidelines and proper use for Wreck Tangle apparatus.
  • Execute daily pre-operational inspection of Coaster carts & track.
  • Instruct guests on guidelines and proper use for Coaster apparatus.
  • Foster excellent guest relations through positive interaction and animation with guests.
  • Administer emergency procedures such as lift breakdown, evacuation, fire, and accident reporting.
  • Cope with the physical and mental demands of the job requirements such as adverse weather conditions, lifting, and the constant flow of interactions with the guests.
  • Know and understand the products, services and events available and actively promote them.
  • Functions as an ambassador of Copper Mountain, modeling and sharing the Copper “culture” with our guests and employees.
