About The Position

The Activity Center Manager provides leadership, management, and oversight of Activity Center programs and services at the TriLakes Monument and South Murray Silver Key locations, in collaboration with the Activity Center Director. The Manager is responsible for program quality, effectiveness, growth, and member engagement while ensuring services align with organizational goals, member needs, and the mission of Silver Key Senior Services. The Manager has direct operational responsibility for one Center while providing management and oversight across both Activity Center locations. The position provides direction and support to staff, instructors, volunteers, and community partners; delegates responsibilities; evaluates programs; identifies opportunities for growth and improvement; and helps ensure consistent, quality service across both locations. The Manager works with the Activity Center Director to implement organizational priorities and supports the development, implementation, and evaluation of new programs, services, and initiatives that enhance member engagement, strengthen community connections, and support the sustainability of the Activity Center.

Requirements

  • Minimum of four years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Previous supervisory, management, program management, or leadership experience strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, delegate, prioritize, and manage multiple programs, priorities, and relationships.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, Word, Excel, as well as various platforms such as mobile, laptop, desktop, and tablets.
  • Familiarity with Activity Center software and technology, including Empowor, My Senior Center, as well as calendar, and fee management programs such as Canva and Square.
  • Excellent interpersonal and human relations skills required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment, solve problems, and make decisions independently.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in management, nonprofit, social services, recreation, aging services, business, or military environments; experience working with older adults or community-based programs is highly desirable.
  • Strong leadership, communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills, with a high degree of integrity, accountability, and professionalism.
  • Demonstrated ability to evaluate programs, prioritize competing needs, delegate effectively, and implement improvements.
  • Strong computer skills and ability to quickly learn software applications, including My Senior Center, Empowor, Canva, and Square.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare reports and present information to diverse audiences.
  • Strong analytical, mathematical, and decision-making skills with the ability to identify problems, evaluate information, and develop practical solutions.
  • Bilingual or multilingual skills are highly valued.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid Colorado driver's license.
  • Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position, including occasional lifting of up to 35 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership, management, and oversight of Activity Center programs, services, activities, and events in collaboration with the Activity Center Director; establish priorities, delegate day-to-day responsibilities, and maintain accountability for program outcomes.
  • Provide leadership and direction to staff, instructors, volunteers, and community partners, ensuring clear expectations, effective communication, and quality service delivery.
  • Oversee the development, scheduling, and delivery of programs, activities, events, and initiatives, ensuring offerings reflect member interests, organizational priorities, and available resources.
  • Develop strategies to increase member engagement, participation, satisfaction, and retention while fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with instructors, volunteers, community organizations, service providers, and other partners to strengthen Activity Center offerings.
  • Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness, participation, member engagement, and financial performance; use data and feedback to identify trends and opportunities and provide reports and recommendations to the Activity Center Director.
  • Ensure Activity Center programs and operations comply with organizational policies, procedures, safety requirements, and applicable regulations, and address member concerns and operational issues using sound judgment and appropriate escalation.
  • Identify, develop, and provide management oversight of new programs, partnerships, revenue-generating opportunities, and other initiatives that support the Activity Center's mission and sustainability, providing operational support as needed.
  • Promote consistency in standards, processes, communication, and quality of service across both Activity Center locations while recognizing the unique needs of each location.
  • Support Activity Center community outreach and engagement efforts.
  • Cross-train with the Home Safety Program to provide administrative backup, including program coordination, scheduling, and other administrative duties as needed. Hands-on home safety or handyman duties are not required.
