Activity Center Manager Assistant

About The Position

This role focuses on customer service, member experience, and the daily operations of the Activity Center. Key responsibilities include member engagement, community outreach, administrative support, and ensuring compliance with company policies. The position also involves educating members on health plan benefits, coordinating with IPA structures, managing PCP and specialist networks, and overseeing referrals and authorization processes. Additionally, it requires managing provider and clinic relations, staff scheduling, inventory, and event planning. The role involves operational reporting, performance monitoring, process improvement, staff supervision, coaching, and fostering team communication and conflict resolution. Problem-solving, decision-making, employee training, and development are also crucial. The assistant will independently manage certain operations, contribute to membership growth and retention, develop community partnerships, and handle operational and financial reporting. Supporting strategic planning and special projects, along with maintaining regular attendance and performing other assigned duties, are expected.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 1–2 years of administrative, customer service, or program coordination experience, preferably in a healthcare, senior services, community center, or recreational setting.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's degree in Healthcare Administration, Recreation, Business Administration, Social Services, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience working with older adults or diverse populations is preferred.
  • Previous experience supporting events, activities, or community engagement programs is a plus.
