About The Position
The Activity Associate assists in creating, planning, and implementing the Connections program, the daily activities for residents. The role supports resident leisure contentment and physical, mental, and psychological well-being. This is a part-time position available every Saturday and Sunday, with flexible availability required. Some weekday mornings and evenings may be available depending on scheduling. Applicants with backgrounds in fitness, music, art, or education are encouraged to apply. Starting pay is $16.50 per hour.
Requirements
- High school diploma.
- Knowledge of the physiology and psychology of older adults.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in Therapeutic Recreation, Psychology, Gerontology, or a related field.
- Previous experience in a healthcare or service-related setting.
- Fitness background.
- Background in music, art, or education.
Responsibilities
- Assist in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, and evaluating the community’s Connections activity program.
- Work closely with Wellness Associates to implement Connections activity programs.
