PT/FT Activity Assistant at Highgrove Senior Living
About The Position
Highgrove Senior Living is seeking a part-time and full-time Activity Assistant for their memory care unit. This role involves assisting in the planning and leading of daily activities designed to enrich the lives of seniors, such as crafts, games, music, exercise, outings, and special events. The ideal candidate will have a genuine love for working with seniors, a friendly and upbeat personality, and the ability to motivate and engage individuals with varying abilities. Responsibilities include encouraging resident participation, adapting activities to individual needs, building positive relationships with residents and families, maintaining activity supplies, supporting special events, safely transporting residents, and documenting participation. Requirements

Responsibilities
- Assist in planning and leading daily activities such as crafts, games, music, exercise, outings, and special events
- Encourage resident participation and help adapt activities to individual needs and abilities
- Build warm, positive relationships with residents and families
- Help maintain organized activity supplies and spaces
- Support special celebrations, themed events, and community partnerships
- Transport or escort residents safely to and from programs
- Document participation and provide updates to the Life Enrichment Director
