About The Position

The Wealshire, an assisted living community specializing in memory care, is seeking a part-time Activity Assistant/Life Enrichment Aide for its Bloomington Community. The role supports resident well-being by helping lead group and one-to-one activities, preparing activity spaces and supplies, and assisting residents as needed. Base pay is $20–$22 per hour, depending on experience. Shifts are 7:45 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. or 11:45 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. The schedule includes every other weekend and every other holiday rotation.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work every other weekend and every other holiday rotation.

Nice To Haves

• One or more years of experience as an Activity Assistant.
• Experience in long-term care and memory care.
• Musical or artistic abilities; these are a plus but not required.
• Outgoing and energetic personality.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Life Enrichment by leading small, medium, and large resident group activities.
• Prepare rooms, equipment, and supplies before each program and clean up afterward.
• Conduct one-to-one programs with residents who are low functioning.
• Clean and care for bird aviaries on Tuesdays and Saturdays or as instructed by the Life Enrichment Director.
• Keep supplies and equipment neat, organized, and returned to the appropriate place.
• Assist with feeding residents at mealtimes as needed.
