About The Position

The Activity Assistant (CNA) at Bethany Village helps enrich residents’ lives by creating a joyful, engaging environment where seniors feel seen, heard, and valued. The role involves preparing activities suited to residents’ different physical and cognitive abilities, connecting with residents and attending to their emotional and social needs, and coordinating with the care team to support residents holistically. Part-time hours are available from 10:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED; or one to three months of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Successful completion of a state-approved nursing assistant training and competency evaluation program, or a state-approved CNA competency evaluation program. The community may provide this training.
Creativity in developing activities for residents with differing physical and cognitive abilities.
Ability to connect with residents and understand their emotional and social needs.
Ability to work cooperatively with a care team toward excellent resident care.
Time-management skills to balance schedules, residents, and activity preparation.
