About The Position

Now Hiring Activity Aides for our Nursing Center and Memory Care Unit. Apostolic Christian Skylines is a continuing care retirement community set in a pleasant, wooded area along the Illinois River in Peoria, Illinois. Our full spectrum of senior living options includes skilled nursing care, rehabilitative therapy, assisted living, memory care and independent living. Requirements

Compassion for the elderly.
Maintaining Confidentiality.
Ability to work with and understand the needs of the residents, families, and peers.
Ability to work independently with little supervision.
Know Residents’ Rights.
Ability to work every other weekend and rotating holidays.

Responsibilities

Help the director with the assessment of resident abilities, limitations and preferences related to activities.
Assist in planning for and providing group and individual activities for the residents.
Documentation and other record keeping.
Attention to the environment.
