Brentwood Behavioral Healthcare is seeking a dynamic and talented ACTIVITY AIDE/COORDINATOR (PRN). Brentwood Behavioral Healthcare is a 120 bed capacity behavioral health facility that provides psychiatric services. We specialize in treatment for adults, children and adolescents. Brentwood Behavioral offers both inpatient and outpatient psychiatric services. Located in Flowood, MS, in Rankin County with close proximity to Hinds and Madison Counties, our outpatient services are within driving distance to many surrounding areas. Position Summary: Responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive recreation therapy program to meet the physical, social, cultural, and recreational needs of patients. This includes planning and organizing activity therapy, evaluating patients' abilities and behaviors, participating in interdisciplinary treatment teams, documenting according to facility standards, demonstrating knowledge of therapeutic activities for psychiatric and chemically dependent patients, and communicating with other departments to ensure patient needs are met.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-3 years of experience working with children/adolescents, geriatric, and/or adults with emotional, behavioral, and/or developmental disabilities.

  • Bachelors degree in related field preferred.
