About The Position

Copper Hills Youth Center, located in West Jordan, UT is a private residential treatment center for adolescents 12-17 years of age. We counsel, teach and mentor children placed in our care and give each child a chance to make successful changes. At Copper Hills Youth Center, we treat boys and girls who have emotional, behavioral and psychiatric disorders. Our accredited private school allows students to continue their education while receiving treatment. We are seeking a full time milieu Activities Coordinator who will focus on: Planning activities and events to provide students the opportunity to engage in activities on and off campus where they will have the opportunity to strengthen social skills, ignite their creativity, improve self-worth through service, and gain exposure to new leisure activities they haven’t tried before. Will encourage students to have positive interactions with peers and staff in an effort to build rapport and trust. The schedule for this position will be a rotating schedule which includes some weekends. Specific days and times will be determined by the Manager.

Requirements

TRT Certification highly preferred
Must have at least 1 year of relevant experience
Must be at least 21 years of age
Minimum high school diploma required
Must have a clean driving record
Must be able to pass a thorough background check
