Activity / Activities Aide - Behavioral Health Center
About The Position
The Activity Aide will involve residents in a therapeutic engagement program. This role helps residents with life enrichment activities and a variety of entertainment options to help keep them engaged in their recovery programs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sports, culture, music, and traditional recreational activities to help bring joy, structure, and stimulation to those in our care. This position is full-time with a PM shift and an every-other-weekend rotation. The hourly wage is $15.00/hr. New employee orientations are held every other Wednesday, starting at 10:30 am, and require a full day attendance.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Prior experience as an Activity Aide in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF), Intermediate Care Facility (ICF), or Assisted Living Facility (ALF) is strongly preferred.
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) or patient documentation systems is preferred.
- Must maintain a valid driver’s license and meet the organization’s motor vehicle record and insurance eligibility requirements if assigned transport responsibilities.

Responsibilities
- Lead engaging group events, ranging from fitness and games to music and arts
- Lead stimulating individual cognitive and memory retention activities for long-term residents
- Maintain accurate documentation in PointClickCare (EMR system)
- Collaborate with health care teams to individualize approach
- Drive and escort residents to off-site events, appointments or activities utilizing the facility van
