Activities Director (Long Term Care)
About The Position
Nocona Rehabilitation and Care Center is currently hiring an Activities Director. This role involves developing and implementing a comprehensive activities program for residents in a nursing home or memory care facility. The Activities Director will create and manage a schedule of daily activities, ensuring a variety of options to meet the physical, social, emotional, and cognitive needs of residents. This position also includes coordinating and leading group activities, providing individualized attention to residents with limitations, collaborating with staff, and maintaining accurate records.
Requirements
- Certified Activity Director
- Previous experience working with seniors in a nursing home or memory care setting.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with residents, families, and staff members.
- Ability to manage schedules and coordinate multiple activities simultaneously.
- Understanding of ADLs (Activities of Daily Living) and their importance in senior care.
- Passion for providing meaningful engagement opportunities for seniors.
Responsibilities
