Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Must hold a current MA Activities Director or Occupational Therapist Assistant certification
- Moderate to advanced computer skills – specifically with MS Office including Work, Publisher, Outlook email, and Excel.
- Ability to communicate fluently in English – both verbally and written
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience working in an Assisted Living or Long-Term care setting preferred
Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee a diverse calendar of recreational, social, educational, and therapeutic activities that promote resident engagement, well-being, and quality of life.
- Develop individualized activity programs based on residents' interests, abilities, preferences, and care plans, ensuring meaningful opportunities for participation.
- Lead and supervise activities staff and volunteers, providing guidance, scheduling support, and training to ensure programs are delivered safely and effectively.
- Collaborate with nursing, rehabilitation, and other departments to support resident-centered care, encourage participation, and maintain compliance with facility policies and applicable regulatory requirements.
