About The Position

As the Activities Coordinator, you’ll be at the heart of our vibrant community, designing and leading a dynamic activities program that enhances the physical, emotional, and social well-being of our residents. You’ll manage a small team of Activity Assistants and work closely with interdisciplinary staff to ensure every resident feels engaged, valued, and connected. This is more than a job—it’s a chance to bring joy, purpose, and enrichment to the lives of others every single day.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Experience working with older adults in long-term care
Previous experience in activity programming
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office, email, internet)
CPR/AED certification (or willingness to obtain)

Responsibilities

Plan and implement a variety of recreational, therapeutic, and social activities tailored to residents’ interests and abilities.
Conduct regular assessments to personalize activities and ensure inclusivity for all cognitive and physical levels.
Organize memorable events, holiday celebrations, and outings.
Drive residents to fun destinations.
Work with nursing, therapy, and social services to align activities with residents’ care plans.
