About The Position

The Activity Department at Wiley Mission provides a fun and rewarding work experience! Our Activity Assistants ensure our residents live a fulfilling life by creating therapeutic activities and events to enjoy. All activities are designed to meet the physical, social, spiritual, intellectual, cultural, and recreational needs and interests of the residents in various residential settings.

Requirements

  • High School education.
  • Experience with seniors in structured setting preferred.
  • Ability to help develop creative and engaging programs.
  • Able to read, speak and write English fluently.
  • Ability to communicate easily and engage others in conversation.
  • Demonstrates patience and empathy when dealing with others in all circumstances.

Responsibilities

  • Knowledge of MDS and Care Planning
  • Create and plan schedule
  • Scheduling and maintaining the invoices for Entertainment
  • Assist with planning activities for residents
  • Transports and assists residents to areas of programs and activities.
