About The Position

The Activities Coordinator is responsible for creating and delivering engaging, memorable, and safe recreational experiences for guests of the Cavalier Resort Beach Club. This position supports the planning, coordination, and execution of daily activities and special events designed to enhance the guest experience and encourage participation among individuals, families, and groups. The ideal candidate is energetic, outgoing, organized, and comfortable interacting with guests of all ages. The Activities Coordinator should have a genuine passion for hospitality and recreation and be able to create a welcoming atmosphere while maintaining a strong focus on safety, service, and professionalism.

Requirements

Previous experience in recreation, hospitality, activities, entertainment, childcare, fitness, events, or a related field preferred.
Previous experience leading groups or facilitating activities is a plus.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Comfortable speaking to and engaging groups of guests.
Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a team.
Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple activities and priorities.
Energetic, creative, dependable, and guest-focused.
Ability to remain calm and professional in a busy, fast-paced environment.
Ability to exercise good judgment and prioritize guest safety.
CPR/First Aid certification, or the ability to obtain certification, preferred.
Must be comfortable working outdoors and in a variety of weather conditions.

Responsibilities

Plan, coordinate, and facilitate daily recreational activities and guest programming at the Beach Club.
Lead activities that may include games, fitness and wellness activities, family programming, arts and crafts, beach or pool activities, social events, and other recreational experiences.
Create an engaging and inclusive environment that encourages guests to participate and interact.
Welcome guests and proactively promote upcoming activities, events, and programming.
Provide exceptional guest service and respond to guest questions, requests, and feedback in a professional and timely manner.
Assist with the development of new activities and programming based on guest demographics, seasonal trends, and resort initiatives.
Prepare activity areas, equipment, supplies, and materials before and after scheduled programming.
Ensure activities are conducted safely and in accordance with Resort policies and established safety procedures.
Monitor guests during activities and appropriately address safety concerns or behavioral issues.
Maintain clean, organized, and attractive activity areas throughout the day.
Assist with special events, holiday programming, group activities, and resort-wide events as needed.
Work collaboratively with Beach Club, Recreation, Food & Beverage, Guest Services, and other Resort teams to coordinate programming and enhance the overall guest experience.
Maintain an accurate schedule of activities and communicate changes to guests and appropriate team members.
Monitor activity supplies and equipment and communicate replenishment, maintenance, or replacement needs.
Assist with setup and breakdown of activities and events.
Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude while representing Cavalier Resort.
Follow all Resort policies and procedures, including those related to guest safety, emergency procedures, cleanliness, and workplace conduct.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
