Activities Coordinator
About The Position
Rite of Passage Team is hiring for a Activities Coordinator at Tampa Bay Girls Academy in Tampa, Florida. Tampa Bay Girls Academy - Secure is comprised of multiple co-located residential commitment programs serving high-risk and max-risk females' youth aged 12-21. These programs provide services utilizing evidence-based practices to provide comprehensive care, treatment, and supervision. Youth will also receive psychotherapeutic services, including individual, family, and group counseling. After 41 years of improving the lives of youth, we are looking for passionate advocates to continue the legacy of helping young people become successful adults. As an Activities Coordinator you will have the unique opportunity to create a positive, safe and supportive environment for the youth we serve while building a career rich in growth opportunities and self-fulfillment.
Requirements
- BA/BS degree in therapeutic recreation or equivalent preferred.
- Working knowledge of the Positive Operation Culture.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively supervise students.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Be able to pass a criminal background check, drug screen, physical, and TB test.
- Be able to pass a search of the child abuse central registry.
Responsibilities
- Work as a staff member of the Student Services Department team.
- Primarily responsible for providing daily recreational and leisure time that is physically challenging, educational, and constructive.
