About The Position

The Activities Coordinator will organize and coordinate activities, and campus-based volunteer activities and projects. This role promotes the Mission and Philosophy of Holy Family Institute, assists with the creation and implementation of a database for organizing children’s activities, and serves as the primary contact in managing recreational activities and coordinating the ticket donation program. The coordinator will collaborate with residential staff, case managers, and education personnel in managing children’s schedules, work effectively within the community providing extracurricular activities to children, and manage holiday activities for the program. Additionally, the role involves managing unanticipated events and crisis situations in a positive, constructive manner, attending all meetings, performing duties as directed by the supervisor, and maintaining client confidentiality.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in the Human Services Field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of residential experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to communicate effectively and document information accurately.
  • Strong knowledge of child and adolescent behavior, combined with the ability to build effective relationships and work efficiently with a diverse range of individuals.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects effectively.
  • Able to maintain electronic records and medical files, with strong computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Must obtain Act 33/34 and FBI clearances.
  • Able to drive a car or van; must have a valid PA driver's license.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • Supervisory experience or organizational development experiences are a plus.
  • Fluency in Spanish and English (read, write and speak) preferred.
