Under the supervision of the WH Director, the Life Skills Activities Coordinator (LSAC) maintains a healthy, trauma informed, and safe environment for all residents. The LSAC works directly with residents and their children to develop the skills necessary for independent living through structured life skills workshops and on-site and off-site community engagement activities. The LSAC schedules, develops, and manages resource-based activities that provide a comprehensive range of culturally sensitive rehabilitative and educational programming for youth and families within the Aviva community. The LSAC serves as the liaison for all in-house and community events, ensuring meaningful engagement with residents, partners, and stakeholders. In addition, the LSAC coordinates volunteers for on-site events, assists with tours of the facility for potential donors and community partners, and oversees agency-wide special initiatives, including the annual holiday toy drive. The LSAC is an energetic self-starter who functions comfortably in a team environment and relates well to residents, co-workers, volunteers, and external representatives. This position requires flexibility, strong time-management skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. The individual must be able to assume a wide range of responsibilities, provide timely responses to requests and deadlines, and work effectively under pressure while maintaining a supportive and trauma-informed approach.
