About The Position

Inspired Living is hiring an Activities Assistant for its Inspired Living at Lakewood Ranch community in Bradenton, Florida. The role creates meaningful, engaging experiences that help residents connect, explore, learn, and thrive. The position involves learning about residents’ interests, planning and leading activities and events, coordinating outings and transportation, building relationships with community partners, managing the activities budget, and promoting participation. The Activities Assistant also works with Sales & Marketing on quarterly community events and contributes to a positive, inclusive community culture.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven leadership or management experience.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Creativity, energy, and comfort taking the lead.
• Ability to plan, coordinate, and manage multiple activities and events.
• Ability to work with residents with different abilities, interests, and personalities.
• Genuine passion for creating meaningful experiences for older adults.

Nice To Haves

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in Social Services, Business, Recreation, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of assisted living or senior living experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Get to know residents and learn about their interests, passions, preferences, and goals.
• Welcome new residents and introduce them to the Resident Experience program.
• Create and lead a monthly calendar of activities suited to residents’ intellectual, physical, social, and spiritual interests.
• Coordinate daily activities, entertainment, celebrations, and special events.
• Build relationships with local entertainers, vendors, organizations, and community partners.
• Coordinate resident outings, including destinations and scheduled transportation needs.
• Partner with Sales & Marketing to create quarterly events that showcase the community and celebrate residents.
• Promote activities and find creative ways to increase participation.
• Manage the activities budget and make thoughtful decisions about supplies, entertainment, and events.
• Help foster an inclusive, connected, and positive community culture.
• Lead by example and support teammates.
