Activities Assistant CNA
About The Position
The Activities Assistant will make a difference in the lives of residents by providing them with care and compassion. This role involves acting as a positive teammate, encouraging residents to participate in daily activities to enhance their physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being. The assistant will use their passion for serving others to motivate residents to take an active part in their own health and wellness. Responsibilities include carrying out activities tailored to residents' varied backgrounds, needs, and enjoyment, as well as recruiting, organizing, training, and recognizing volunteers to expand the activity program. The role also involves involving resident families and the community in activities to increase resident participation.
Requirements
- Previous experience working with geriatric population is preferred
- CNA certification is preferred. Must be open to getting CNA certification within the first six (6) months of employment
