The Activities Assistant supports the therapeutic programming and daily operations of the department by facilitating structured activity groups and documenting patient participation and progress. This role works closely with the Activity Therapist to deliver interventions aligned with individualized treatment plans, including providing alternative activities when patients are unable to attend groups. The assistant monitors patient responses, communicates concerns, and contributes feedback to the interdisciplinary team to support effective treatment planning. Responsibilities also include offering age-appropriate activities, promoting patient engagement, and maintaining consistent communication to ensure quality, patient-centered care.
