Valley Springs Behavioral Health Hospital offers compassionate, high-quality inpatient and outpatient mental health and co-occurring treatment for teens, adults, and seniors. We provide a full-range of evidence-based medical and clinical services in a state-of-the-art healing environment. Programs include inpatient mental health and co-occurring treatment, Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHP), and Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP).

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED required.
  • CPR/BLS certification and Handle with Care within 30 days.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in recreational therapy or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitating structured activity groups and documenting patient participation and progress.
  • Works closely with the Activity Therapist to deliver interventions aligned with individualized treatment plans.
  • Providing alternative activities when patients are unable to attend groups.
  • Monitors patient responses, communicates concerns, and contributes feedback to the interdisciplinary team to support effective treatment planning.
  • Offering age-appropriate activities, promoting patient engagement, and maintaining consistent communication to ensure quality, patient-centered care.
