As an Events and Adventures assistant, your primary responsibility is cultivating a fully engaged lifestyle intellectually, physically and spiritually—for all our residents, which requires intimately knowing every resident and their unique needs and preferences.
Requirements
- Ability to navigate technology (Outlook, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, etc)
- Comfortable working with and supporting seniors in the use of technology
- Experience or interest in interacting with and deeply relating to seniors
- Meets all applicable licensing and background requirements to work in a licensed RCFE
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

Nice To Haves
- Associate degree or higher, preferred
- 1-3 years of experience delivering events, adventures and engagement, preferred
Responsibilities
- Generating and extending resident excitement and enthusiasm in all Events and Adventures
- Assist in planning, organizing and executing amazing events (day to day fun) and exciting adventures for our residents, including residents in Harbor
- Assist as requested with publishing a monthly calendar of planned events and adventures and a monthly newsletter filled with interesting and useful content for our residents, families and prospective residents
- Track attendance in Cubigo, a digital hospitality platform
- Collaborate with the Culinary, Resident Services and Harbor teams on planning events and adventures that utilize the full capabilities of the community and team, and that seek to engage every resident regardless of mobility or physical limitations
- Assist in developing relationships with outside resources to ensure our residents stay connected with the larger community and have unique opportunities to give and receive through service
- Deliver on the YUSM promise—that through individualized support, residents will feel youthful, stay useful, be spontaneous and remain mobile.
