About The Position
The Activities Assistant supports wellness and recreation programs at a skilled nursing facility, helping provide residents with an engaging care experience. The role involves delivering programs during scheduled resident times, supporting the Resident Programs Director, and assisting with volunteer supervision and promotional materials.
Requirements
- Basic typing and computer skills.
- Flexibility with schedule.
- Ability to work well with others.
- Enjoyment of working with the senior population.
Nice To Haves
- One year of direct activities programming experience in a skilled nursing setting.
- Computer experience, preferably in a Microsoft Windows environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist in coordinating, directing, and delivering wellness and recreation programs that meet residents’ individual and shared needs.
- Participate hands-on in programs during residents’ scheduled times.
- Assist with planning, orientation, and supervision of volunteers.
- Support the Resident Programs Director in exploring opportunities for residents’ emotional, physical, spiritual, social, and intellectual engagement.
- Assist with marketing and promotional materials, helping ensure they are of professional quality.
