About The Position
Rancho Bellagio Post Acute is seeking a compassionate and energetic Activities Assistant to join our team on a part-time basis for the AM shift. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with seniors and is passionate about enhancing residents’ quality of life through meaningful activities.
Requirements
- Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience in a skilled nursing facility is preferred
- Experience as an Activities Aide or Activities Director is a plus
- CPR certification is preferred
Responsibilities
- Facilitate individual and group activities that meet the functional levels, interests, and cultural or religious preferences of each resident
- Support residents’ individual routines, preferences, and choices while addressing their needs and concerns
- Communicate effectively with the Activity Director, supervisor, and interdisciplinary team as appropriate
- Provide one-on-one and in-room activities for residents who are bed-bound or unable to attend group programs
- Assist residents with activities as needed, adapting programming to cognitive and physical abilities using appropriate support techniques
- Assist in the development, posting, and distribution of activity calendars
- Monitor the environment for safety concerns, including fire hazards, and report issues promptly
- Report housekeeping and maintenance concerns to ensure a safe and comfortable environment
- Maintain activity areas, equipment, and supplies in a clean, organized, and homelike manner
- Perform additional duties as assigned
