About The Position
Fraser Villa is seeking a compassionate and energetic Community Life Aide (Activities Assistant) to join our Activities Department and make a positive impact every day. As a Community Life Aide, you'll help create meaningful experiences that enrich the lives of our residents. Working closely with the Community Life Director and team, you will assist with planning, organizing, and leading recreational, social, educational, spiritual, and wellness programs. You will build meaningful relationships with residents and families to learn about their interests, life experiences, and personal goals. Encourage socialization, lifelong learning, physical activity, and community engagement. Support special events, activities, and outings that promote resident well-being and quality of life. Observe resident participation, mood, and engagement, documenting progress and sharing feedback with the care team. Help create a warm, welcoming environment where residents can thrive.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and a genuine passion for serving older adults.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience working with seniors or in a long-term care setting is a plus.
- Chauffeur's license preferred; willingness to obtain one may be required.
