The role involves administering the monthly activity calendar, eliciting patient/resident input, and ensuring activities are well-organized and upbeat. It also includes participating in activities appropriate for patients/residents to support their optimal functioning, dignity, and identity. The position assists with simple nursing procedures, transporting patients/residents, and documentation in MDS/EPIC. The ideal candidate displays creativity, resourcefulness, the ability to follow instructions, excellent communication skills, leadership abilities, and the capacity to work with challenging patients/residents. Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and autonomous prioritization skills are essential, along with the ability to plan and oversee resource utilization and work processes.
